Sir Hubert Hughes-Stanton (1870-1937)
Landscape painter in oil and watercolour. Born 21 November 1870 in London. Exhibited at the Grosvenor Gallery from 1887 and at the R.A. from 1897. Awarded gold medals at the Paris Salon. Visited France regularly from 1906 to 1914 and served there as an Official War Artist, He was Knighted 1923.
