Thomas Swift Hutton painted many fine watercolours of the pleasures of the sand and sea at Tynemouth and the coast nearby. This is quite an unusual perspective for the artist on this well practised view of Short Sands, King Edward's Bay. Signed and dated 1902, lower left.
