Another super Thomas Swift Hutton watercolour and bodycolour, of people and boats at the slipway of Cullercoats harbour. Clinker-built boats (cobles), works of art in themselves, proudly ship-shape, the mast/sail ropes neatly stored in bags hanging from their lowered masts, oars stowed, all in readiness for the next day's fishing. Cleaned and conserved; inscribed Cullercoats lower left and signed and dated, '95, lower right.
