A powerful subject and very much in the 'Old watercolour Society' palette. The initials 'R.W.S.' wrongly added to the slip title as the society did not become 'Royal' until 1881 some 33 years after Richardsons death! Bearing provenance labels and statements of professional conservation on the backboard.
Outside measurement of the excellent early frame is 26" x 30".
