This excellent example of Wasley's watercolours came from a private customer. Great to have a provenance with a story, and here it is: 'I was selling it on behalf of a family member in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. My great great uncle Tommy worked in Beavans department store in Byker, Newcastle. Henry Beavan was a bit eccentric and lived in a flat in the department store. When my great great uncle reached retirement age, Henry Beavan invited him in to his flat and said he could have anything in the flat for all his hard work over the years. So he chose this painting.
