John Hardman (18th/19th Century) Chestnut Hunter in a Landscape Medium: Oil on canvas Size: 17" x 23" SOLD
Not a great deal is known about this Birmingham artist of horses who worked around the end of the 18th Century. There are however a number of similar examples recorded at auction selling up to £4,000. This is such a typical painting of a hunter as seen by the artist 200 years ago and a very recognisable genre. Read more in our biography of John Hardman. Contact the gallery if you have an enquiry about this painting or if you have a similar work to sell.
