A fresh and breezy study that looks to be on 'home territory' and signed and dedicated 'To Eleanor, Xmas 1911'. Eleanor Hughes, a friend of Birch, was an outstanding artist in her own right and part of the Newlyn School, studying under Stanhope Forbes.
