George Balmer (Attrib.) (1805-1846) Entrance to The Tyne Medium: Watercolor Size: 8" x 13" SOLD
A dramatic scene looking from the Tynemouth entrance and by the Black Midden rocks at sunset. North Shields can be seen in the distance with the High and Low lights which were the early navigation beacons before the river was dredged. Traces of possible monogram but distinctly dated 1833.
