James and Ian are two of the North of England’s most respected names in Fine Art, and can boast a combined wealth of experience that together spans over 60 years!

  Corbridge and its bridge over the Tyne

Set near the River Tyne in the beautiful and historic Northumbrian town of Corbridge, the gallery principally deals with clients from the Northern Counties but also operates on a National and International level. James Alder Fine Art also offers a quality framing and restoration service for your fine paintings and watercolours.

Our website is an extension of this experience and we endeavour to offer paintings that are both varied and in the best possible condition. Prices quoted include cleaning and framing, where this has been deemed necessary, and ALL purchases are unconditionally guaranteed as to quality and authenticity exactly as stated.

We have extensive experience in packing and shipping and we are always happy to quote on these costs, including insurance, before a sale is completed. We normally ship watercolours without the glass unless otherwise agreed as being by far the safest and cheapest option for all parties. For the most part we use Parcelforce and have never yet faulted their service for some years now. We do of course have accounts with other carriers if clients prefer this.
